Sipping Bits was started by me, Christian, for one simple reason, I wanted to be the CEO of a company…OK well that’s not really why but I do get a kick out of introducing myself as the CEO of Sipping Bits even though there are only two of us!
I actually started Sipping Bits because I had this insatiable drive to write software for MAC OS X and the iPhone OS! So the natural thing to do was to start my own Software company.
So what kind of Software do I create here at Sipping Bits you ask? Well just about anything that I can dream of. I guess this is one of those invaluable perks of owning your own software company that everyone raves about.
In the end, all that I can hope for is that you enjoy the software that crosses-over from my dreams to your reality and that it somehow has a positive influence in your day to day interactions with your Mac.

So why Sipping Bits?

As a programmer, when I first sit down in front of my computer and start coding I have a strong connection to the real world. My mind is thinking and processing like it should...I can still function in a social setting. But the longer I program and the deeper I get into my code the more I become detached from reality...I become socially inept. My thinking patterns start mimicking that of computer logic. I start to pre-compile the code in my head, debugging and optimizing it as I go along. My syntax and grammar shift from nouns and verbs to conditional loops, objects and variables. I attain a higher consciousness of what transactions are being conducted...I somehow become really close to the metal! So now I am in this altered state of mind...I've been Sipping Bits.
